There are two five-letter words that no one can escape from: one is truth and the other is karma. Stand by me is a crime fiction novel by Sudeep Nagarkar.
This is a story of 3 siblings Deepika, Kartik, and Ruhi who got apart from their family during their teenage. They lost their mother at a young age and their father married someone else who initially promised to take care of them but eventually made his father get them shifted elsewhere.
Three of them shared a bond that grew even stronger once they got out of their home. The perfect bond that any sibling would wish for that was more like a friends group than siblings.
On the evening of Ruhi’s 25th birthday, her brother decided to plan a surprise along with other common friends. And next morning she was found dead on the floor of her bedroom. Ruhi’s brother Kartik was convinced this was murder but none of them believed in his story. It was too traumatic for him to lose his young sister who was too close to her, even more than the elder sister. He remained hospitalized and went for psychiatric treatment for 7 months to overcome the grief and pain he went through.
Soon after his release from the hospital, he started digging deep into the truth to find the culprit behind his sister’s killing.
Is he able to find the truth?
Will Ruhi get justice?
Or maybe this is just an assumption?
Maybe Ruhi wasn’t killed rather she attempted suicide?
You’ll know all the answers once you turn down the pages. A perfect read for those who love fiction stories with crime mysteries and thriller twists.
*One cannot circumvent destiny; one can only take a longer path before eventually crossing ways with karma. What goes around comes around.
Karma isn’t a bitch; it is just fair.
